Downward Spiral

Downward Spiral

A Poem by A.M. Victoria (LostWritings)
"

Upon seeing the future of a looked-up-to acquaintance crumble...

"

Where on earth were you, my friend,

When you lost your wings into the wind?

When all you dreamt of turned to dust,

And your precious metals fell to rust?

You were always magnificent, in my mind,

Cheers to your Halcyon days, rewind,

Turn back these tapes and take two for time,

So I’ll never have to complete this rhyme.

The moment that step you took became two,

Not  a person there was with potential like you.

And when that two-step then became three,

Your options were as broad as the seven seas.

A power to the storms inflating these sails,

You saw past me and all my fails,

You took my wings and gave them wind,

But why did you have to lose yours, my friend?

Why the hell did you have to lose yours, my friend?
