A Poem by vinny ciambriello

Our moods are okay, however others view them; we have a right to go with them and be left to go through them.

You to yours, i to mine
Inhabiting familiar spaces
at opposite ends of the universe
How it came to be, how it came to me
i know not
only that i am suffused with it
it won't have through with me.
I am my own moon now
throwing off heavenly bodies
cold like a moon often is
dealing its own tides
that splash less know shores
so that i cannot center me on you
and find you a sore point to my wandering
that i need and must entertain
as you entertain yours
whatever they might be
i care not to decipher
for i am lost in me and it feels i should be
in this moment: lost
I pray that you give me my ride
allow me my dark landscapes
For when i return as i always do
i am better in some unquantifiable way
lest you anchor your mood to my arrival
as if I've done wrong
require punishment
for what is only natural to me
We are made of moods
You to yours, I to mine
and the greater one always shared
as souls once alone
find their way back to one another
There to revel in the loneliness of two

this is excellent, well focused all the way thru, the tone is consistant, and the mood, well, the mood is the mood. i like the comparisions of people too moons, and the tides as our influence on each other. i also liked how you ended, kind of lead back to the first line, in which the whole "mood" starts over again. very well written
