Candles

Candles

A Poem by Weston R.
"

My April 19th poem for NaPoWriMo 2012

"

Candles dance in the darkness,
The flames consuming the night,
Eating away at the void
And blazing the way.
Brightly they glow on their
Million paths, each different than the next.
They burn with the brilliance
Of fires long past, and of embers
Long smoldered.

But then as quickly as they were born
They extinguish themselves
With their own
Intensity.
