Lake

Lake

A Poem by Riley

It's March 7th
A little more than two months ago
No letters typed
No message sent
No text read
No insight
2,182 miles away
It's always "how was your day"
"You're a brother to me"
That make my day just a little bit better
Meetings from a camera
Happy chuckles.
No more reflection
No more affection
Just an empty black lens
Watching me
From then on.

It's April 18th

I still await for a response

A message

A call

I want to frame the only thing I have.

Your picture on the wall.

A "how was your day"

"what's up chum"

But it's never going to come.

Hello all, this is the journal of my mind where I can say anything I want, to a group of strangers. No judgement, no vain comments, just a group of people who admire the same art. I look forward to re.. more..
