Beautiful Travesty

Beautiful Travesty

A Poem by Riley

A step in the right direction
up, down, back and forth,
side to side.
I only wish to find peace
yet it's the most impossible concept
wake up
grow up
get over it
forget it
it's done
look to the future
I want to
but why can't I?
I'm trying to, the voice in my head
at every thought of it
screaming
"stop!"
I feel like trash.
I feel like you should just throw me away
I can't forget things,
so why hoard something so useless?
You're just keeping clutter
you're hoarding things you don't need.
Forget it
get over it
How do you turn trash into treasure?

very expressive poetry. Nice work

I liked and understand the words and thoughts in the poetry. It seems we run in circles and can never find proper place. Peace, a word, many of us want to know. Thank you Hannah for sharing the amazing poetry.
