Human Connection

Human Connection

A Poem by Anne Lyons

I felt as though, I was disconnected from the world around me.

The search for unity seems to be the font of much of the worlds unhappiness.

That's why I make the decision I do to disregard all connections.

Unintentionally, you've seem to set aside those thoughts.

And in my candid moments I find myself surrendering to this thing I feel;

this human connection of sorts.

However, I refrain from giving into my better instincts.
