Vaya Ailin

Vaya Ailin

A Poem by 100 Times of War

It was all so innocent
One friend unto another
One simple unconscious thought,
a spontaneous emotion.

But now I stand at a crossroad
Blinded with the yearning
for your honey lips
And the sweet temptation
of death's warm hands

I'm lost, my boat is sinking in a storm
And no matter how hard I try,
I keep drowning in your hazel eyes.
My Poseidon, my Cupid.

My drug. I'm numbed and falling apart
at every sight of you.
I hate you, as I can't live without you.
I cannot choose, the bit of sanity I still have left
or you.

But these tears I cry is not because of any of these.
It is because you've already chosen for me.

Farewell my love, my little Vaya.

Beautifully sorrowful with a depth of imagery that allows a singing voice to layer a harmony of pain. Your emotions are depicted perfectly and the reader is gripped in the decisions dancing feet, wonderful.
