What is Love?

Love is the fantasy we each desire

A delicious connection for which hope is maintained

So we will not feel apart, separate and alone

Adrift, isolated to walk the earth

 

We see the face, the eyes, and a smile we recognize

That haunts our spirits and minds evermore

 

This moment to be joined as one is sought

A union that might last for eternity

 

And if love be not real, where are we then?

Is it just momentary?

Is its duration measured in seconds, minutes or hours?

 

Is love a dream embraced when we are young, and

From which we never awaken?
