When one is lost, what is the cost of being found?

The Cost?

When you are lost,
Count not the cost
Of being found.
Put your heart on a plate of forgiveness.
Allow sad memories to flee from your mind.
Remember to treat yourself gentle and kind.

Self-love is often a wonderful cure!

If all seems a ruse
Reconnect the fuse.
Explore theories sound.
Seek advice and counsel of the wise sage.
Open your spirit to novel opportunity.
Heed your conscience; drown not in futility.

Inner voices guide us to truth!

Do what is right.
Bask in love's light.
Discover truths unbound.
Seek contentment with actions good.
Tuck sorrow and pain of past away.
Enjoy euphoria of a fresh sun kissed day.

The joy of being found is well worth the cost!

This is so true you know!
Some just can't see beyond this either.
This is very well presented and i love the pics you used.

This almost seems as if you've reflected on the fact that perhaps a loss (physically) helped bring forth more spirituality and peace. I automatically think of how you said that despite how much you missed your husband, you are happier not being abused. I wish I was strong enough to feel I deserve this kind of break. Excellent writing. :)

As always Sheila, you touch emotions .. and in this - well, this is something else. You've dug deep, haven't you, whether it's poetry for poetry or life-based poetry .. you've fought and come out the other side. So many people experience the depths and then have the hard climb back .. forgiving self is far harder - far, far harder than forgiving someone else. Why , who knows?

Better to take every day as it comes and - as the wise man says, live it as if its your last day. No hurt though, no pain, no selfishness, just the urge to love, laugh and enjoy.

A very inspiring and uplifting work. To be lost and think all has ended will result in that exact scenerio. But to seek yourself and find the reason for this detour in your life can have wonderful results. As you said put it out there on a plate. If the plate is too full to hold another thing, scrape off the things of the past and move one. All is not lost and forgiveness is always waiting for you to just seek it. Very wise words flowed from your poetic pen.
"Open hyour spirit to fresh possibilities.....Listen to your conscience and drown not in futility." Loved this creative map to finding yourself.

Dear Sheila,

Wise beyond words. I know this comes from inner knowledge
of battling past the many upsets that life has sent. A great
poem that I hope will help many.

Best regards,

Rick

Very wise and very beautiful poem. It's looking at the
situation in a loving way, not in a negative one at all.
Loving ourselves seems to be the hardest thing for us
to do, but it would be the very best thing for us to do!

I really like this poem.
