The Abyss And Thy Grief

The Abyss And Thy Grief

A Poem by GetTheHellOut

He who has been there

Seen it with his eyes

Whispers in the wind

but no one can hear

You shall not speak of it

You shall not see it

The one that has never seen the light

The only who can see it

Fear inspired for centuries

Thy name unknown

Haunted by the guards of thine

another ghost lost in time

Trapped souls unleash

if thy mission does not succeed

you may kill the one part and demise it in darkness

but the remain is the one that inspires all fear

Ringing Bells, the ritual is near

the cleansing is about to begin

seperation, two different fates

the abyss and thy grief

He who has seen it all

a wise man, now really old

blinded by the sight

defened by the screams...

Nice use of ye olde english! I've always felt that it makes poetry sound more poetic. If that makes sense!

Really liked this one. It has a sense of mystery about it, something dark and brooding. Great piece!
