Childhood

Childhood

A Poem by Ashley

No one sees the light within me,
I hide myself within the four walls,
They're suffocating me.

Please don't yell, Mommy,
and please don't fight, Daddy,
Just a divorce is all I plea.

But as the love vanishes into the wind,
so do my pleas or freedom.

No one sees the light within me,
I hide myself within the four walls,
They're suffocating me.

6 years later, no divorce and no pleas.
Still there's no love.
They've suffocated me.
