Discarded

Discarded

A Poem by Zeba Syed
"

This is about the inner struggle.Your own angels and demons.

"
No!not from mitosis or meiosis,
this here; product of two sexes.
identity tarnished, demons famished
lifes not a game of black and white chexes.

roar out she yells
stop!no!they snare
one scream away from being a diagnosis.
being proper; demanded
otherwise; discarded
institutionalized, neigh telepathy unreal
mind fakes maze,body areal.

grow them out,
horns, preferentially halo,
hide em,cometh the grin then swallow

sticks and stones
concede trickle and tear
struck inward, miffed souls
buck up,smirk and simper.
