About Me
My name is Rod Hatter, aka: Panhead Rod, and I enjoy writing traditional poetry, verse, prose, haiku, stories, songs and "old school" biker poetry. I have been called many things... Dad, soul mate, dreamer, humorous, deep, quite crazy and a wordsmith, just to name a few... I believe in the power of the written word, and all it can provide to both the writer and the reader...
I have written and copyrighted 6 books, of poems, haiku, and short stories, with the first 3 relating to my life of riding motorcycles, and the others covering life, nature, humor and a bit of sarcasm. I have had my poetry shared all over the world in various ways, including having one of my poems, "She's a Chopper" © 2015, turned into a co-written song by an international rock star, Pat Savage. I have been aired on a few shows for our local public community radio station KXCR 90.7 FM, and currently underwrite "The Florence Radio Poet Society" Show, Hosted by Edie Cronk.
