About Me

I'm also on Booksie and WEbook under the same pen name, although I'll be here mainly.

I generally write meditative poetry in any sort of form (haikus, tankas, beat, free verse); sonnets for more majestic poems; beat poetry for the hell of it or "performance" (or whatever you call "reading out loud"); and probably some stories. We'll see. I write because I like to, and I share my work because I want my voice to be heard. I hope to get into film editing or the like, but I'd like to write for the screen. Currently, I have a love affair with a fantasy series I'm fabricating. Only my effort and time will tell how that'll turn out.

I like to offer constructive reviews, not really criticisms. I assume you want your work read, so I look for the story you're telling overall. Form, grammar, composition, and all that are added fluff. If I ever make you a suggestion, you don't have to take it. It's your story, not mine. I don't want to take away or tamper with your voice. Besides, I only know what I know which is little probably.

I don't believe as artists, there are a set lists of tips and tricks we can all follow. I think that's crap because no two people work the same. Don't get me wrong. I prefer showing over telling as much as whoever, but whenever I write what I do know I question if I really know "what" I know. I mean, what are cookies other than gooey, warm, yummy treats?

I'm just another artist here, like you, as well as an observer. As a student of creativity, I like film and creative writing (I guess you're into that too if you're here). I'm also learning as I go. 'Cause that's what students normally do, right?

I don't have enough blogs on T...Tumb...lr. Shhh. Skyrim is one of my favorite games. Modern Family and Mythbusters battle for my attention as some of my favorite TV shows. Fight Club and Star Wars (old trilogy) are some of my top movies. Many people are inspiring to me in their own way.

Cookies are my weakness, and laughter is my number one drug.

"What works for me may not work for you."

Charlie Kaufman: Screenwriting Lecture at BAFTA | Not so much a lecture, just an artist spreading some enlightenment. It's worth the listen even if you're aren't writing for film.
