Most of the people here are sensitive souls who cannot stand honest criticism, only looking for a pat on the back and loving words of support. I passed that stage as a teenager, and have moved on to a more practical approach, such as improving the quality of my writing. I wasted a lot of time giving honest, practical critiques to people who bemoaned and cried about it and didn't respond with intelligent critiques of my own work. So, basically, this place is a love-fest between amateurs, and although that may be good for getting members to a website, it offers nothing to an educated writer looking for more of a critical approach.
