Inspirations
Inspirations13 Years AgoHey, I would love to know what has inspired you all to write. :) My inspiration to writing: Well, first off I had a fantastic relationship at the end of 7th grade and I was extremely happy for the first time in my life. I begun to write songs about my happiness and later on turned it into poems. Then at the beginning of 8th grade, I found out that he was in love with my best friend. I was depressed for the rest of the year.I still seem to not be over him. But I wrote more in the 8th grade, writing about my heart-break and all about the break-up. Now that I am a Freshmen I write about how I wish that it never had happened and how I want him back. I use to have struggles with writing, but since of that one break-up I have made some beautiful poems.(in my opinion)

Re: Inspirations13 Years AgoI really understand where you're coming from there! I get inspired through a lot pf things myself. I'm not sure why, but just being outdoors when the weathers nice helps me so much. Just watching the leaves blow in the wind and the sun shine is enough to get me writing. :) And when I have struggles with my writing talking to my best friend is so helpful. Sometimes trying to think out a story in your head can be hard. But once you start talking to someone about it and get feedback its so much easier to get over that awful writer's block! :)

Re: Inspirations13 Years AgoOh, well I know what you mean about the outdoors. Sometimes we need calming surroundings to get our brain functioning its writing ability. For me, I like to stay in my room alone to get some peace and that helps write too. I have multiple notebooks and binders of my poems and stories. I tend to quit story ideas, but I did actually have one book completed but it needs major editing. I wrote it before I found out the real way to do dialogue. :D Aha funny right! It might be a lot of work, but everyone(students and friends at school) seemed to enjoy reading it. It has a big important story behind it relating to my life. Again it deals with my past love life. He has something to deal with religion too. I might think of posting it on here soon, once I get it edited :) And thanks for sharing your inspirations.

Re: Inspirations13 Years AgoLike you, I also draw inspiration from events that occur in my own life. I have had a somewhat similar experience with my ex-boyfriend and my... well ex-best friend. Writing was what got me through that rough experience. I feel my writing is inspired by many things, but typically it is inspired by the events within my own life, or possibly by a story that I have read. Ultimately I think inspiration can be drawn from most anything, as long as it has some meaning to you, whether it is good or bad.

Re: Inspirations13 Years AgoI get inspired by just ordinary house-hold objects and things that generally wouldn't be very inspirational most of the time. I also get inspired by songs and lyrics, and develop a story out of them. Though I always make sure to listen to the songs carefully before I start writing.
Also, if I'm really stumped and have a case of writer's block, I go outside and look at things that could prompt me. For example the ripples on water, or the shapes that tree branches form in the wind. All things that could be the start of a great, interesting story. I love your inspiration! Getting inspired by your love life and your own personal emotions rather than someone else's is very... inspiring. Sorry, couldn't think of a better word to go there! :) |

Re: Inspirations13 Years AgoYou have an excellent way of inspirations! I love how simple things can inspire you. Even through writers' block, you still keep going. Never give up, is an important thing to remember. The devil is tempting us to give up on the things we love the most, but in the end stay strong and keep going :) Thanks for thinking my love life strategy is awesome or inspiring also :D haha

Re: Inspirations13 Years AgoI'm inspired by stories I've read, things I listen to on television, the news and current affairs. Real life stories, and books that have similar topics.

Re: Inspirations13 Years AgoWhat inspires me is my life and the nightmares that I have. Most of the stories I right have some form of abuse in them because, for most of my life, I was abused harshly by people I once called my friends. But I don't look down on myself for such things. I turn my past into these stories that I write, and I try to give them happy endings. I know, giving a happy ending to a story is cliche, but I do it because I've always wanted to have my own happy ending, so I made my own. So, my scars, both mentally and physically, are what inspire me the most to write what I write
