Buffer's Stories

Description

About Me -
I was born the third Son, 4th Child to my parents Lois and Leo Mahon in Pontiac, Michigan, in 1946. Our Family grew to eight kids and were very poor. My father lived for his kids and would work up to three jobs at a time to keep a roof over our heads, food on the table and clothes on our back.

We had a lot of family stories and whenever we have a get together, they always seem to come up in our conversations.

My oldest memory. I can see clearly when I was very young, maybe three years old, standing on a stool, washing a big yellow bowl that my mother had in the kitchen sink and looking out the kitchen window. I don't know how or why I remember that, but I do, and it is very vivid to this day.

As you can tell or if you know me, you know that my passion is fishing. I have had the fortune to fish all over these United States, both the Atlantic and Pacific, The Gulf and a lot of places in other countries.

I spent twelve years in our U.S. Navy all in the west and the far east. A lot of it in the Viet Nam war. I also spent two years station in Japan, about twenty miles from Hiroshima.
