This can be incorporated into a great horror story, the mixing of genes into creatures beyond imagine, if written dramatically can be created into the stuff of nightmares themselves. Not to mention the nearly unlimited options with this...

So...Nightmare Fuel huh? I saw a preview for a movie that I never saw called "Splice". What you suggests reminds me of that movie. Interesting stuff.

Of course, there's always a semi-frankenstein's monster approach. Living biological tissue fused with non living tissue anyone? Organ transplants gone wrong? Perhaps a haunting caused by blood donated by a person that died recently?

Biological weaponry that alters or contaminates the human body is probably the thing that frightens me most. The idea that, through no fault of our own, the average human being could be transformed into something uncontrollable and threatening. Forget mutants it's zombies - the ultimate in biological weaponry - the stuff of sleepless nights, never mind nightmares.

Yea...zombies...freak me out to a great degree...
