What makes a story worth writing about? What is it you are trying to convey or capture with your words?

I like this question:) Just a bunny's opinion....

I should think this applies to my train of thought in writing poetry and what makes something worth reading as well...

To hear a voice of the times and absorb the epoch.

I desire to learn something... a truth, an understanding from conveyance to my owning from infer not from dictation. but revelation.

I also look to feel in translation from a sympathetic note of the characters placed to paper in the narrative.

The thing that grabs me the most is the characters and or thought development in the unraveling of the story line itself, be it one that i like or not if it is written in such a way that it takes me somewhere.

The ability of the writer to make a subject relatable to his or her readers gives a story worth. Anytime writing is salve for the soul, I think it's worth it. One of the things I like about poetry is you can sneak up on the reader sharing a subject they might not read in a book.
