what defines fantasy?
is it just swords and sorcery, trolls and tunnels, dungeons and dragons?
is it simply something that doesn't happen in our world?
do acts of god count or dose it have to be more than that?

Well Mey you raise a good point,

Personaly I consider anything fantastical, be it shooting flaming bullets or the aforementioned dungeons and dragons, to be fantasy. I draw the line when the writing in question begins to fit better into another genre, most commonly sci-fi or general fiction.

Fantasy, I think, would be anything that doesn't exist in this world, or anything that wouldn't normally happen.

Thus, fantasy (in my opinion) is the best genre to read, as you can't find it in real life.
