How 'bouts this be where we come when we have a question, or if we're stuck on something. We can post helpful links to sites that offer writing tips, or information regarding special interests and so on.

And like, online sites with music and stuff so you can listen to them and write... you know, try some stuff you haven't heard before? One of my favorite sites is:

... also

You know, share whatever I guess. I'm sure we all have our areas of expertise - and this may be the most important thing here: girls can ask guys for their POVs on certain things (to see how a guy would act for real so they could maybe use it for the story) and vice versa. Sound good? ::biggrin::

Oh my gosh. I just came here to post a thread like this. You are wonderful.

Like.... does anyone know if it would be possible to hot wire a houseboat?

... um ... for the story, right? ::tongue:: Although living at sea would be cool...

It's probably very possible. I'm pretty sure you can hot wire anything that has wires.
Although...the computer chips in the key now...not too sure. I would start by looking for anti-theft systems. I know I had to disconnect mine after it flooded here because the computer shorted out and wouldn't let me start my own car - there's three wires coming off from the steering collum, and you have to start your car, and within the three seconds that it runs (because it kicks off because of the anti-theft system) you have to disconnect those wires. Then the next time you start it it should be fine. So now you know how to steal my car ('98 Sunfire GT, license plate number...actually, I don't know what the license plate number is).

That's one of the forums I went to to learn how to do this. The anti-theft thing is called a "passlock." I am pretty sure that a houseboat would have something similar so this may be a good place to start.

more links to other questions that you can lead off from (though automotive).
