The Briny Muse Forum Poetry

  The short metered or measured verse of poetry appeals to the mind that's challenged and coaxes it to create acceptance for expression that appears studied and deliberate in expression. This may well be an older way of daily communication, gothic style, when we found it difficult, or were filled with too many rules with regards to expression.   Today, poetry is still a powerful instrument for reaching our feelings and mind in the depths of its own self persecution and critique for mistakes it deems not self worthy. Poetical expression brings an irony to these experiences and helps the mind to create acceptance for past judgements.   It wakes the individual to find new expression to its perceptions.
