Just So

Its the feeling we have when ' we are not interfering ' with what we view and simply describe it for what it is. In Zen Buddhism, it is the achievement of ' Satori ' in the individual to be able to accomplish such a task. The wandering mind is allowed into all its numerous pathways of excuses and justifications, and in doing so, the individual realizes that ' there's nothing to take hold of ' and that ' thoughts come and go of themselves, without the individual willing it.' In viewing the constant circling of the thoughts on themselves, the individual realizes that ' all arguments and inquiries ' are falsely founded. The individual comes to intuit the fact that ' he is riding an ox in search of an ox.' In that which emerges, the individual is perplexed in realizing that they have no basis to take any actions and  ' yet in the next instant, they realize that they are free to act spontaneously, the way they always have.' The knot in the mind is no longer there. In its place, is a free flowing creativity. '************************************Quotes are excerpts from the book ' The Way of Zen ' by Alan Watts.
