The New Writers' Society Forum New to this

Hi, I'm Vanayssa. Been writing for a year and a half. Actually add six months for the time I actually spent writing that first book. So writing really for two years. Hope thaat's still new. I wrote a book I wanted to write for so long, Pagan Flames, published by Solstice. Then discovered it was actually a YA book...I had no idea, thought it was just a book! Got a surprise listing as one of seven Best YA Reads of 2015, no one more surprised than me. I loved writing it. But I'm just a new writer, which goes to show, if you write what you love, you might get a pleasant surprise now and then.
