The Wood Beyond The World Forum Robert Lynn Asprin 1946-2008
Robert Lynn Asprin 1946-200816 Years AgoI actually met Robert Asprin, at a convention last year. I've never done more than glance at his books, but in person he was a very funny, friendly fellow. Rumor has it he died with a book of Terry Pratchett's in his hand -- if so, I'm betting he died with a smile on his face.
RIP Robert Asprin. |

[no subject]16 Years AgoSigh! That is the problem of growing old. Be it writers, musicians, etc., they are getting old also. I've stopped counting the number of people I liked and/or admired dying.
I haven't read too much of Asprin but his first couple of Thieves' World books were good. And so are his Myth Adventures. He had quite a wicked sense of humour. Something that will be missed. |
