Robert Lynn Asprin 1946-2008

I actually met Robert Asprin, at a convention last year.  I've never done more than glance at his books, but in person he was a very funny, friendly fellow.

Rumor has it he died with a book of Terry Pratchett's in his hand -- if so, I'm betting he died with a smile on his face.

RIP Robert Asprin.

Sigh! That is the problem of growing old. Be it writers, musicians, etc., they are getting old also. I've stopped counting the number of people I liked and/or admired dying.

I haven't read too much of Asprin but his first couple of Thieves' World books were good. And so are his Myth Adventures. He had quite a wicked sense of humour. Something that will be missed.
