I thought I'd just say hey to everyone, I'm not exactly new to writing, but I don't have all that much experience. I love to write, and have ever since I was 12, so, I thought I'd try to write a book. So.....HEY EVERYONE!!!!!

Hi there. I'm new as well. Didn't feel that starting my own thread to introduce myself would be appropriate, so I'll just join this one and say hi. 

So will there be any new contests in the future with this group?

Howdy howdy to both of you!  I just joined myself, so I can't answer the contest question . . . not even sure how to make one yet so I'm the wrong one to even consider it!  Hopefully someone who has been here longer can fill us in.

So they've left us here abandoned in this place with no food or water or information on what to do?

*shakes head* Nothing I can think of other than set an example and be active . . . I'm trying the best I can with a crazy school schedule.  Once the semester is over I do think I am going to tackle trying out the contest thingie and hosting one myself.  I just entered one (didn't win, but oh well) and I really liked the prize idea: rather than just do the ribbons, the host also offered reviews for the top three placers.  I think that's great for a place like this.

oh my God, I'm finding live people here.  It almost feels like one of those bad 50's last-man-on-earth movies finally finding a group of others.  !! you guys aren't zombies or anything, are you?

I've posted one science fiction short.  If there are enough readers here, I will post others.  Cheers.

Hello! I just joined today and look forward to meeting many new friends and fellow writers. I have completed 2 full novels (one as part of NaNoWriMo and Book 1 in my current trilogy) and I cam currently working on my third (Book 2 of my trilogy). I will be posting the first 5 chapters of Book 1 and will continue to post if there in interest in the story. Thanks so much in advance!

Nice to meet you, I am also new here and would more than happily enjoy reading your novel to  give you feedback. I am here for pretty much the same reason. I wrote  my first novel at fifteen and completed it  two years later, but never published it. Since then i have had a lot of start and stop projects and feel that one of them may actually have some potential. Would you also mind giving me feed back on it when i get part of it posted on my page? Thanks.
