MLK vs Malcolm X

ok Who do you guys agree with? Martin Luther King Jr.? Or Malcolm X? Peace? Violence?

You guys have said in other forums about saying the N word and stuff how it's teaching others that it's ok to call us that. But Malcolm X he used force now what do you think they did back they aren't going to be like ok whatever no they're going 2 stike back. Ok i'm not going to ramble on right now but I'm more for MLK and for peaceful revult.

I definately agree with Malcom X...Power only yeilds to an opposite but equal power...without Malcom X I don't believe that MLK would have been effective...The US could have just ignored MLK, but when you have Malcom X on the other side preparing people for a revolution; you realize that you either have to negotiate with the pacifist or go to war with the activist...Malcom X was also about more than just violence...he wanted blacks to have respect for themselves, and having respect for yourself means: not having to beg ANYBODY for a seat at the provebial "table"...It means that when somebody tries to confront your humanity that you stand tall as who you are...It also means that you should behave and carry yourself in a manner that's worth being respected...So to make a long story short...If i had lived back then i would definately be right beside brother Malcom, promoting revolution.

if you read my post...or if you understood it...you would have obviously realized that it is not about "WRONGING SOMEBODY" or getting revenge...when i say that power subsides to equal and opposite power, it doesn't mean that blacks should go and enslave white poeple, kill white people, and rape white women (that would be "wronging" them...because that is what was done to us)...that statment means when a whiteman is threating your life with a shotgun; you don't hold hands and start singing songs...it means that you get your shotgun and let him know that you also have the rights to bear arms...It means that if somedoby had a rope and is ready to hang you, that a peace rally won't save your life...this is the times that black people in that age were living in...and i understand that in history, you were probably brainwashed that Malcom X was the bad guy and Martin Luther King Jr. was the good guy, but they both were equally important for blacks to attian there civil rights...the pacifist will always get trampled by the aggressor...history has shown this time and time again...no white leader would've given MLK the time of day, if they hadn't truly believed that the black people under Malcom X were about to explode...and not explode because of hate

What happens to a dream deferred?

Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore--
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over--
like a syrupy sweet?

Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.

Or does it explode?

without Malcom X there is no civil rights for blacks, and you and i would probably still be second class citizens

no i wasn't tough malcolm was the bad guy infact they didn't even really mention him which really pissed me off that 2 men who helped achieve the same thing and one man gets recognized more than the other but idk i go 2 a white school so ya (btw i'm not black i'm hispanic and don't ask how i got in here idk i was just invited lol) i'm not saying that wat he did and wat he was working 4 was nessesary wrong i'm saying i think MLK did it the better way idk thats just me i mean me personally if i were 2 threatin someones life and that person didn't do the same thing back but tried 2 get rights civilally that'd impact me way more than someone who fights back idk maybe it's just bc it's the way i was rised or where i was rise or a whole bunch of things together i'm not sure but either day i'd b doing more of wat MLK did then wat Malcolm did
