Black Leadership

I recently had a conversation with some of my friends about who should be the voice of the black community today. I also read, in one of the previous post, someone complaining about the leadership of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. I also happen to think that they are not adequately expressing the needs of the black community and should have been replaced long ago. I believe that their sucessor sbhould be Micheal Eric Dyson. I am just curious to hear what everybody else thinks about this subject

I'm partial to Tavis Smiley or Cornel West Micheal Eric Dyson and Cornel West work together at Princeton. They currently (all three) are asserting themeselves and that's the first step. They're doing it... just Jesse and Al are trying to hold on, not recognizing their time has come to pass the torch. Nobody plays the game forever. Even Michael Jordan retired... Again. Wait... he did that 3 times, didn't he?
