"Madam," Her mother corrected stiffly, "Well, Leandro," Her mother's voice was proud and authoritive, regarding the boy called Leandro with a cool, appraising look, "I'll have you know that there is to be no stealing in this Opera House, understand? From now on you are to make a living from a proper job." Meg watched as her mother turned back toward the managers. "Is there a position open for this boy?" "We are missing a stage manager," Monsieur Andre replied as if he was only discussing the weather. "Then it is settled gentlemen," Her mother finished. Meg watched with narrowed eyes. Something was wrong, she could tell. Madame Giry's eyes kept on flipping upward, as if she was trying to keep an eye on the catwalk. But why would she do that? Meg asked herself. And then she caught a swish of white skirts. Hmm, she thought, Odd. I don't seem to remember any female set managers....

“Well, now, who de we have here?” Joseph Buquet asked walking onto the stage seeing the new unknown appearance. “Ah, Joseph just in time, say bonjour to your new apprentice,” Monsieur Firmin introduced showing Leandro. Joseph took a look and then asked: “What’s your name boy?” “His name is Leandro, not sure of his last name though,” Madame Giry said looking back at Leandro who was dozed off to the opera’s great chandelier. He then caught Madame Giry’s look and then responded: “Casey.” “Casey? Are you from around here?” Joseph asked a little confused. “Yes, but my father was an Irish man and my mother French,” Leandro explained. “Well, the laddy, let’s get have you learn the scenery changes for Hannibal, you’ll be quite the help,” Joseph said steering Leandro away.
Leandro was a fast leaner always vigilant of how to pull the strings and what strings were for what scene or drop of stage. “Mess up, and the Phantom will get’cha,” Joseph teased hoping to get a little scare to Leandro.  Leandro only looked at Joseph and then continued on with the learning. “You’re not scared?” Joseph asked a little surprised. Leandro only shrugged his shoulders; he admired the Phantom’s creativity and so would understand if got a little pissed if Leandro did mess up. “No,” Leandro finally responded. “You’re quite the brave one,” Joseph said in disappointment of his failure to scare. He then looked up to the catwalk and saw a chance to wither away his disappointment. He walked away and then went to another set of ropes on another side of the stage. It controlled the ropes holding up the catwalk. Joseph pulled one and had the catwalk jerk a little scaring Kathy who was on top. She caught her balance and then felt another jerk. Leandro saw the peculiar movements of the catwalk and then spotted a ballerina on top. He then saw the catwalk jerk and then the rope loosen greatly making it lop sided having Kathy fall over. Kathy let out a scream as she saw the stage close in on her but then felt herself crash into someone’s arms and then put down gently. Madame Giry walked over satisfied by Leandro’s side and patted his shoulder. “Thank you, Leandro, you can leave Miss, De Winter with me now, you may proceed with your work,” Madame Giry said looking down at Kathy who sat on stage still a little terrified but relieved she was caught. Madame Giry escorted Kathy away as Meg stayed in confusion as to why Kathy was up there. “Don’t expect a raise now boy,” Monsieur Andre said firmly. Leandro turned around walking backwards as he pulled his hat off in exasperation. “Never asked for one,” he said turning back around slapping the cap on his head as he headed back to the strings.

(OOC: OMG! I just realized something: Kathy has a crush on Leandro that was completely unplanned!!! Me: PANICK ATTACK!!!!)
How many times do I have to tell you, Mlle. de Winter?” Madame Giry's grip on her wrist hurt, “We do not poke our noses in to the Opera Ghost's business. Do not ever go there again, you hear me?” The words seemed miles away from Kathy's thoughts, and she didn't know at all when Madame Giry let go of her, disappearing into one of the rooms. She was still dazed and shocked from the incident before. She looked back where the stage was fading into a hazy dot at the end of the corridor. Joseph Buquet could've killed someone, she thought, I could've broken my ankle, or worse, my neck! And who was that anyway? Her thoughts turned to the boy who had saved her, and her heart fluttered. He had caught her, just when she thought she was going to crash onto the stage and die. For a moment, she was in his arms, closer to him than she had ever been to anyone else...She had to know his name. “Madame Giry?” Kathy spoke. But she found that she was no longer any where near Madame Giry, or the dormitories, but at a strange, stone, spiraling staircase. She looked back, but there were even more steps, and there was no way she could find her way back.
“Hmmm,” she said to herself, “Well. I guess I'll just have to go down and see if anyone can direct me back.” And so she began to descened the spiraling staircase, but she hadn't reached five steps when something clicked and the floor open beneath her. She didn't even have time to scream before she landed in the water. Oh no, she thought, This must be the lake under Rue Scribe! I've gotten myself tangled in this mess! And then suddenly a wall above her began to move closer and closer and closer, cutting her airspace. Kathy gasped as she was forced underwater, black dots sprinkled in her vision. She struggled for a few moments. And then nothing.

Re: All Right this is IT: THE ULTIMATE PHANTOM ROLEPLAY!!!

After Madame Giry had the rehearsals continue, a note had fallen from where Leandro was working. He then saw Joseph come toward him a little tipsy from drinking but close up with the scenery and props. “Why’d you do it?” Leandro asked looking at Joseph who remained drinking about his tot of gin. Joseph offered a drink, which Leandro respectfully turned down even though he was really with want of a drink. Joseph just shrugged his shoulders, “She shouldn’t have been snooping around like that, the ghost would have been angered, I might as well have killed her before the noose found its way around her neck,” Joseph said. Leandro still played with many of the strings and fixed the lopsided catwalk from the work of Joseph, when he had noticed the unique hallmark upon the envelope tha had fallen beside him. He opened the note and read it twice. It was a welcome from the Phantom himself, it also warned him of his whereabouts and how to leave Box 5 empty at all times for his usage. Unless you wish to suffer a fate as deadly as hers then you shall remain silent, it read on. That doesn’t sound very welcoming, Leandro thought. Her? Uh-oh... looks like Kathy got what she wanted. Leandro took the letter and then left the stage. “Where ya going?” Joseph asked but had the response of silence. Leandro walked forward and then ran into Madame Giry. “You’re not going to disturb the girls in their rehearsals you know,” Madame Giry said with a smirk. “Of course not, but I fear something has gone wrong,” Leandro warned. ‘What is it?” Madame Giry asked crossing her arms. Leandro handed her the note. Madame Giry looked at him and then at the note taking it in her hands reading along. After she finished, Madame Giry grabbed Leandro by the wrist and dragged him away.

Leandro was taken down to where Kathy was last seen. “She was last seen here, but she seemed dozed off so I let her be,” Madame Giry explained. “Hand me that axe over there,” Leandro pointed to where the emergency axe was kept for any fires. Madame Giry broke the glass case and handed Leandro the axe. Leandro then went down the spiral staircase looking for where Kathy may have been taken away. At a landing Leandro heard a click and then steadied himself as he then fell through onto a metal cage wall. He looked through the square openings of them metal and saw small hands at the surface. This would be a messy job. He took his vest off, rolling up his sleeves, and pulling off his cap. He dumped them at the stairs and then started to cut through the metal patterns. Minutes later, the cage was destroyed and broken with a gap inside; Leandro rushed the axe out of his way and then reached into the water for Kathy’s arm. After seconds, Kathy was out soaking wet, as he then carried her body out from the staircase and back to Madame Giry.
Leandro had taken Kathy back to her dormitory where Meg was chatting with Christine. “Kathy!” one of the girls shouted rushing to her unconscious body. Madame Giry had signaled where Leandro would put her down and as he laid her body down gently onto her bed. Twice in one day, he’d have to keep an eye on this one, Leandro thought. Some girls, rushed over to help aid Kathy back to health, Meg and Christine sat about relived that they hadn’t lost a dancer, while other sat starry-eyed at the new recruit. “Thank you, Leandro once again,” Madame Giry said thankfully. “No problem,” Leandro said walking away back to the spiral staircase. “Where are you going?” Madame Giry asked. “Back to the staircase, I messed up his little snare, I might as well fix it,” Leandro said considerably walking away. Madame Giry smiled. The Phantom would be pleased.

(OOC: Yikes! If Kathy isn't a little more careful, she just might end up getting killed!!! *runs around screaming head off while scaring chickens* Is it ok if Kathy crushes on Leandro? I mean, do you have any other plans for him? ps: I'm hoping Christine's going to end up with Raoul and Meg with Erik....any objections? Anyway, this one is Meg!) Meg was left to watch over Kathy when Christine was whisked away to a scene rehearsal that Meg wasn't apart of. Madame Giry was talking to the managers, Leandro was apparently, fixing the Phantom's trap, and the ballet girls had gone off to play pranks on each other or gossip about that handsome new stagehand called Leandro, so that left Meg. The blonde ballerina sat at the edge of Kathy's bed, looking down at the other ballerina. Kathy's dark hair was wet, settling over her shoulder in a dripping braid, leaving a dark, damp blot on her pillow. Meg shook her head sympathetically. She understood why Kathy would be poking about in the Phantom's business. Meg herself had been curious. As a child, her favorite tales would be about the Phantom and his pranks, and she would ask about the theater haunt. She thought about catching the ghost and maybe conversing with him, to find out more about him, and maybe, just maybe, become his friend. Meg herself had explored the Opera House, except that she had never been bold enough to actually go down too far. Meg sighed again. At this rate, Kathy won't be able to wake up in time for the performance!

(I like all suggestions! And yeah Kathy can crush on Leandro; he’s a little clueless on flirts so he’ll learn to like her soon :D and Meg and Erik was the plan all along wasn’t it?) Leandro worked about and had some metal melted to replace the old, it was stronger, and more durable, but malleable so it won’t break easily. It was now finished the trap and looked a lot better, the Phantom would be pleased. Leandro then heard footsteps come toward his way from down the staircase and then waited for someone to appear. He then saw the Phantom’s figure and saw his light blue eyes stare at him with confusion and anger then transform into pleasing. “Thank you,” the Phantom said looking at his new trap; it was a fine touch to his playground and looked modern. “I’ll keep this meeting a secret, wouldn’t want to give away your existence,” Leandro said smiling as he stood up from the work. The Phantom only smiled and then disappeared back to his lair into its darkness. Leandro headed back upstairs and then was curious about Kathy. He decided to check up on her before he left to hid dorm that Madame Giry said she would lead him too. Leandro walked up the stairs into the dorms and caught all the girls in a furious whisper as he entered the room. He felt uncomfortable and then spotted Meg and Kathy from a distance. Leandro walked over and then sat down next to Meg. “How is she?” Leandro asked. Meg sighed. “She might not make it in time for the performance,” Meg admitted sadly stroking Kathy’s cheek. Leandro saw that she was breathing but wondered why she wouldn’t wake up. “Here let me try something?” Leandro said as he leaned forward to hold Kathy’s nose. “What are you doing?” Meg asked laughing a little at the funny gesture. “She’s just in her sub-conscious she’s bound to gasp for-” Leandro said but was interrupted when Kathy shot up for air fully awake. “Works every time!” Leandro muttered happily.

(OOC: Yeah, just wanted to make sure. :D Christine and Raoul alright? I'm too lazy to make more characters for either of them. I hope your friend Daniel wasn't too freaked out by my random message...well, my mother told me the best way to make friends is to just BE YOURSELF!!! And I AM myself!!! WAHAHAHAHAHA!!!) Kathy shot up, gasping for breath. "What? Who--"
"Shh," Meg said, "You're alright. Well," she stood up, brushing her skirt off, "If Kathy's alright, I'll just be off to see Christine. She should be finished by now..." The blond ballerina disappeared behind the door, leaving Kathy alone with Leandro and a whole bunch of gossiping ballet rats.
"You saved me again, didn't you?" Kathy asked softly, finding the stagehand that had saved her earlier that day.
"You like getting in trouble," the boy grinned at her.
She smiled back. "Thank you. I would probably have broke my neck or drowned if it hadn't been for you...and I don't even know your name yet!"
"I'm Leandro," he stuck out his hand.
Kathy shook it. "I'm Katherine. I prefer Kathy though."
 "Nice to meet you, Kathy."
The two were suddenly aware of the furious whispers of the gossiping ballet girls and Kathy blushed. Leandro seemed uncomfortable, and he stood up straight again and took his leave, leaving Kathy well and truly alone with the gossiping ballet rats.

Leandro headed out and saw Madame Giry at the door. “I see you like to check up on your savings,” Madame Giry said satisfied with the new stagehand. “Just wanted to see if she was alright,” Leandro admitted sheepishly. “Well follow Joseph, he’ll lead you to the dorms for the stagehands,” Madame Giry said leading Leandro to Joseph. “Girls, time for bed. Just one more day till the performance,” Madame Giry said as she let all of the girls get ready for rest. Madame Giry walked over to Kathy who was a little troubled feeling sick still. “If you do not feel good tomorrow dear, I believe you will have to sit this one out,” Madame Giry said stroking Kathy’s hair. “No I can dance. I can-” Kathy protested. “Or you can help out Leandro backstage, I’m not sure Joseph can stay sober for that long,” Madame Giry suggested. “I- I can?” Kathy asked shyly. “Yes, if you want to help the show, we need to put everyone’s effort,” Madame Giry said. “Alright, I’ll see how I feel tomorrow,” Kathy said blushing a little. As Madame Giry left, all of the other girls had started to stare at her. “W-what?” Kathy said. They all looked away a little angered toward the fact that Kathy would be with the Leandro for the whole entire evening together. Kathy sighed and just went to bed.

"Your performance has exceeded satisfactory," the angel said. Christine imagined the angel smiling at her, and her own smile grew. "Thanks to you, Angel," She whispered, "But if you do not mind, I wish to preserve my voice for tomorrow." "Of course, Christine," the voice whispered, "Of course." And then it began to sing, softly, gently quietly. Christine found her eyelids growing heavier and heavier and the voice lulled her to sleep.

Meg had arrived back at her dorms and saw everyone fast asleep she quickly fell in with the other girls before her mother had caught her. She dove under the covers and fell into her own deep sleep.
“Come on girls, up, up, up today’s our last rehearsals,” Madame Giry said as everyone rushed about into costume for dress rehearsals. Kathy laid asleep still a little exhausted until Madame Giry shook her awake softly. “Kathy? Katherine,” Madame Giry whispered. Kathy turned around and saw Madame Giry. “I believe you should meet Leandro backstage my girl, I’ll tell him you’ll be arriving soon,” Madame Giry said. “Yes, Madame,” Kathy said as she got up feeling pretty weak. “Alright, get dressed, but don’t make him wait too long, he’ll just show where he will need help for tomorrow,” Madame Giry said as she left the room. Kathy let her hair out from her long braid. Instead of waves, curls had come out somehow. Kathy was actually pretty satisfied with her hair; she liked it and fixed it up a little. She got dressed in her prettiest clothes and dashed off to go meet Leandro. At the back stage, but she hadn’t realized that she shouldn’t have run to fast, she was still weak and pretty dizzy. Kathy almost fell back when she fell into familiar arms. “Third time in two days,” Leandro said with his charming smile. Kathy blushed madly but did her best to cover face as she was helped to her feet. “Madame Giry, said you might need some help for tomorrow,” Kathy said shyly to Leandro. “Yeah, actually I would, but I’ll try to keep it at a minimal I wouldn’t want you to tire yourself,” Leandro said. He’s so considerate; Kathy thought dreamily looking at Leandro’s handsome smile. “Ok let’s get started,” Leandro said leading Kathy to what he might need help with.

(OOC: Ok, getting to the out of character border with Kathy...must keep her a little less....hmmmm....ballet-girl-y! I don't think she'd do anything "dreamily"...no offense...:D)
Antoinette Giry was worried for Christine. She had known all along who Christine's mysterious vocal teacher, that voice, that "angel of music", was. She knew who the Phantom was. She knew that Erik had fallen in love with Christine, Christine, who was so close to her heart, she was like a second child. Still, Antoinette thought, It could be worse. Erik could be after my little Marguerite instead. The very thought made her shudder. It was true, Erik would never dream of dishonoring the woman he loved, but it was also known that Erik would do anything, anything at all---including murder--to get the girl. "What are you doing, Erik?" Antoinette mused to herself. "That is not your business, Madame," a silky, curt voice made Antoinette turn around. She found herself face-to-face with a gleaming, white, half mask. "And you said yourself," The Phantom said as he slid furthur into the shadows," We must not poke our noses into the Opera Ghost's business. But that little ballet rat didn't listen to you, did she?" here he chuckled, "But I did not plan to kill her. Merely to scare her a little. I have not sunk so low as to permit myself to kill an unarmed woman who did nothing but stumble to the entrance of my home." He flexed his fingers, "I must go now, Madame. Only I must ask a favor of you," he smiled, something he rarely did, and it sent chills down Antoinette's spine, "Do not get between Christine and I," he warned in a hiss, "Do not forget your place, Madame. You may have saved my life, but I'll not have you forget that I am the Phantom of the Opera. And keep your ballet rats from snooping. I won't be so merciful the next time." He swished his cloak and was gone, leaving Madame Giry standing alone in the darkness.

(sorry, sorry, sorry)  “You push this, to cue the clouds, you push those to take things out from the stage or to push anything up, and these for scenery,” Leandro said leading through from what he learned which was basically the whole entire play in a few hours. Kathy was doing her best to remember all of the follow through and was succeeding. “Here, I made this last night,” Leandro whispered secretly as he walked over to one of the unknown leavers that looked new. Leandro pulled it down and then a growl was released, following a long head of a dragon that popped out from the side curtains having excellent effects. Its nose steemed, its tongue stuck out showing its sharp teeth, its eyes big and beady hungry with lust. “Ah!’ the ballet girls screamed at the sight of the beast. “Leandro!’ scolded Madame Giry a little annoyed from how the girls should not be disturbed from their warm ups. “Oh, come on, you know it was pretty amusing form your angles,” Leandro said teasingly. “Yes, but don not use it for jokes, someone perhaps may get really displeased,” Madame Giry warned hinting the Phantom. “Yes, Madame,” Leandro said tilting his cap and walking away. Leandro couldn’t help but snicker at the other girls’ screams, maybe they’d leave him alone now finding a dislike in his fun. Kathy remained a little amused herself from the girls’ scream. Leandro took down the prop and then stored it away, coming back in a matter of seconds. “You made that all last night?” Kathy asked surprised. “Yeah, it was fun,” Leandro said happy he got to have his own fun once in a while.

Do you know if Daniel wants to play any characters in the Phantom cast? Cause I can make some other characters playable if he wants…PS Where is Raoul???)   Christine stood in front of the mirror nervously. Her costume fit her perfectly, draped over her in long, flowing white. Silver stars were woven into her dark curls and she was as ready as she ever could be. Just one word from the angel, and she would be off. “I’m going to perform now,” she whispered silently to the mirror. “You will do well, my child,” the voice said, “And you look lovely…” the voice trailed off, and Christine heard something unusual in the voice. What could it be? It sounded a mix between sadness and longing. But her doubts were gone as quickly as they had come, and she steeled herself. “Christine!” Meg came to fetch her, “We’re opening in five minutes! Hurry!” She followed her blonde friend, and they were off.

(Uhm James, or Jamillet said she would come later cause of her ribs she had some serious rehearsals today so I just posted for now. Is it alright?)    Raoul entered the great opera fixing his jacket giving him more confidence as he walked inside the Opera House. "Monsieur De Chagney,” Monsieur Andre said in delight. Hello, gentleman I do trust this show will be quite pleasing,” Raoul said flashing them a smile of excitement and anticipation. “Yes, we actually have quite the star tonight,” Monsieur Richard said as a matter-of-factly. (<- is that right James or Rose) “Really? Has Carlotta bloomed that greatly?” Raoul asked. “Well, not Carlotta, but someone else, has quite been the bloomer,” Monsieur Andre said excitedly. “Whom shall I ask?” Raoul asked. “You shall see,” Madame Giry said walking toward the men. She walked in her proud strides as walked in on the men. “Speaking of the show, I believe you men must sit down. It will start any minute from now, unless you wish to disrupt the show?” Madame Giry said raising an eyebrow. “Course not, gentlemen, I will see you at the end of the show,” Raoul said tilting his head to the three of them making his way to Box 5.

"It's Raoul," she whispered urgently in Meg's ear, "He's here. Sitting in Box Five." Meg's eyes went wide. "But Christine, that's his box..." Leandro watching from above with all the stage managers and Kathy who was watching with excitement to see Christine's outcome. "Come on," Leandro said leading Kathy to where the cranks were. "Push it," Leandro said looking over to see the sheep making sure they were still calm and domestic as they should be. Kathy struggled to push the crank, it seemed to be  stuck. Leandro saw Kathy's struggle and then decided to walk over and help her out. "Here," Leandro offered. "No! I can do it," Kathy said determined still pushing. "Its the other way," Leandro  said pulling Kthay's hands the other way of pushing the crank. Leandro's hands led Kathy's as he let her push it herself. Leandro heard the cue of the music and then let Kathy stop. Clouds don't have to be seen every moment. (EEK! Danny, they were horses…not sheep :P) Everyone clapped grandly and excitedly giving Christine the standing ovation she never received as a dancer. Christine curtsied watching the flowers fly to her on stage from the audience then curtsied again. She smiled as she looked to the side to see Meg and other ballet girls clapping excitedly and proudly. “Brava! Magnifica! Stu-PENDA!” Monsieur Andre clapped and cheered from his box with Monsieur Richard. Christine smiled at the applause and continued to let her eyes wander through the audience. A round plump, woman had then scurried out from the backstage scurrying outside to a carriage waiting outside of the Opera House. Carlotta waiting outside with another man in the carriage were waiting to hear about the performance seeing their spy arrive. With a sheepish smile and shrug of the shoulder from the woman, Carlotta fainted in shock in the man’s arms.

Leandro and Kathy were clapping from their areas as well, excited at the great turnout. The show was at its termination and Leandro was preparing to get ready to leave the Opera House, he had plans for the city tonight. “Come on,” Leandro said leading Kathy to help wrap everything up.

(Horses? Sheep? I’m super confused, lol. :D Sorry about not posting for such a long time. I had a very BUSY homework week :P)             Where was Christine? Meg weaved through the crowd of ballet girls, admirers and opera staff, trying to find her friend. It had been but a few minutes after the gala had ended, and Christine had disappeared into the crowd. Meg assumed that she was carried off to her dressing room by Madame Giry, but when she had checked there, Christine was no where to be found. That left one other place to check before Meg would go and tell Madame Giry of Christine’s disappearance: The chapel. Christine loved to go there. She said the stained glass windows and the flickering candles made her feel closer to heaven, closer to her father’s spirit and closer to god and his angels.           “Christine,” Meg called as she descended the steps down to the chapel, “Christine…” There was suddenly a voice, a soft and yet commanding voice. The smooth, power timbre sent shivers down Meg’s spine, and she searched for the source of the voice as it echoed, “Christine…”           “Meg?” Christine’s voice asked.           “Where in the world have you been hiding,” Meg shook away her confusion and walked into the chapel to meet her friend. She sat down on the floor besides Christine and took her hands in hers. “Really, you were perfect. I only wish I knew your secret. Who is your new tutor?”
