Women Of The Dark Side Forum Hi Everyone, a quick intro of ..

Just thought I would introduce myself to you all. I enjoy writing for fun, pleasure (Is that the same thing?) also as a vent for the frustrations in my life bought about by my abusive childhood mostly ::mad:: . I am 34 years old, I have 3 girls ages 17, 15 and 12 years old, (Hormones in the house!) ::tongue:: I am married, (though sometimes I think he is more married to his computer than to me! ::mad:: ) I have a cat named Cuddles, who is my baby (except when she wakes me up to feed her breakfast at 7 in the morning! ::sleepy:: ) A budgie named Molly, and my daughter has a hamster named Bubbles, who is the cutiest little, white bundle of fluff (Except when she bites) We also have next door's cat named Puddles who has to keep being reminded that he doesn't actually live with us. ::confused:: Spelling has to be my worst point when it comes to writing ::suprised:: , and the fact that my brain works faster than my fingers can type. It seems my poems mostly just sneak up on me when I least expect them, (Like when I'm sitting on the loo hmmm) And then run away if I don't write them down quick enough! Anyway, thats me, so who are you? Anyone else care to introduce themselves too? It would be nice to know who you all are. Bye for now. ::biggrin::

I really don't know what to write about myself really..

Hmmmmm...... I'm 22 (23 in 4 months), I have 2 toddlers (3 and 2, boy and girl, respectively), my 4th year anniversary is next Monday. (I have to keep repeating this so I remember! I'm the absent-minded one in this relationship.. ::tongue::)

I wrote horror mostly, although I'm working on two different kinds of novels- one fantasy (kinda horror though, although I'm not out to give anyone a heart attack in this one) and sci-fi (an idea my stepdad and I came up with- should sell like crazy when I'm done).

I also suck at getting things done.. well, anything besides writing. I've been doing a good job of writing the past two or three weeks (with the advent of steady coffee into my life, lol) but I'm supposed to fix a pair of my husband's pants and I keep forgetting.. ::biggrin:: He's complainin'.

Okay.. if you would like to know more, my myspace page (ha, everyone has one of those now a days!) is a little more detailed if you're curious. And it looks really good. I don't have a lot of "survey" stuff on it, just various quotes I like that describe me, and some other funny stuff..

Hello, I'm 33 yrs. old I have a 11 yrs old daughter, and a black and white cat named Baby that I love very much, after the death of my white cat named Cotton. I'm a strange sort of person a lot of hidden things about that I can't name or describe. But to some they would think that I'm an evil person, but I'm not. I love to write and I have been writing seen I was seven yrs old. I love to write almost any thing. But mostly I write and have published works that include but not limited to, Poetry, a song that is recorded as a demo, single, which is a love song, I'm one of the Authors of 'Death of a Vampire God' a horror novel. I love to pretend and acting for me is on the burner, because I love to be Ms. Countess Evelynn Valkzak the Vampire God. I'm a researcher, and I research different topics like Vampires, the fictional one and also real Vampires, and any thing that is known to me as the unknown, like ghost.
I'm a Ghost hunter, and I make and design my own clothes, as well as my own web sites.

I'm Dana, aka Karma. I am 31 yrs old and engaged. I have an 11 yr old son, Kyle Austin, (a lot of moms here, lol).

I have four cats (haha, I win... ::confused:: ), Cherokee ( My big fat black and white puff ball with extra toes and paws the size of boxing gloves), Smeagol (White and calico, she looked like Golum when she was a kitten, hence Smeagol), Bandit (a dark gray with a white 'band' around his tail, and he just plain looks like he's up to something all of the time) and Prett Baby (what can I say? he's a damn pretty cat!), I should mention that I was wrong about the sex of every single one of my cats when they were kittens, so when they were named, I thought the boys were girls and vice versa. I have a dog, a shephard/husky mix, named Thor. He looks like a wolf. He acts like a cat.
I have a pack of cats.
I have a pride of dogs.

I am looking forward to getting another snake, my boa, Houdini, died a few years back and I miss her terribly.

I have published poetry, but in writing stories, my poetic skills have all but diminished. I have about three different novel swimming in my brain. Got outlines for them, but I keep restarting them. Can't get what I want out of them. So I work on shorts and contests and character backgrounds.

My latesest beginning for my Witch/Death book is posted on this site under "Chapter 1: The Beltane Festival", and I have that page open in hopes of getting to writing some more as soon as I finish up here :D This is probably my most devoloped story; I had probably written about half og it, and completely discarded it and am beginning again.

The entries I have titled 'Part 1: The Cell' and 'Part 2: Predator' are basically a characters introduction to me. I am working on a story with a Vampire for the MC, and I need to know her history, how she was made, why she is the way she is, and details of some horrific things she has yet to do, so that I can write about her better. A decent amount of that history will show itself in the book as flashbacks.


I also have another one floating around that stemmed from a recurring childhood dream...I actually started on this story in middle school. Never thought much about it since, I mean I remembered the dream, and that I wanted to write out the idea, but I had forgotten that I already tried it when I was a kid ;) It's about the human race being thrust into an evolution shift do to a chemical war. The human race is split into different races, most looking the same but having enhanced abilities (i.e. the warriors are extra strong and natural fighters, the hunters have night vision)...but there is ne race of humanoids that do not look the same. They are tall, pale and their limbs stretched. Their eyes are either green or violet, no other variety; and the rest of the human races fear them but know nothing more of them than their appearance and consider how to eliminate them. They are, 'The Enlightened Ones'.

Anyway, I too have a darker seeming side, and many might consider me evil as well, but I can assure you, at least 96% of the time, I am not evil. I still do not recommend crossing me (IRl, of course, PC arguments are so...pointless). My bite is worse than my bark; but only when I bite. I am generally a very friendly person, I just hate fake people and disrespectful people and am not shy about calling them on it. So maybe I am mean--when I have to be. I prefer to just have a good time and not let the petty s**t bother me, you know, let it roll off my shoulders and all--but some people are just so in-your-face they can't be ignored for too long.
