Women Of The Dark Side Forum Recommended Reading?

I'm looking for a new author to read. I really like 'series' type books: Both of Anne Rice's (and how cool was it that she began to combine the two in 'Blackwood Farm'? I really wish she would have kept writing her old ways). I also like Laurell Hamilton's Anita Blake series, and Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld. Basically, I like supernatural/horror fiction, with strong female heroins.

Any suggestions?
