On Painted Horses..by Michael

Henry hadn't been to an amusement park in a very long time. The thirty six year old decided it was time to visit one once again. He found what he was looking for and strolled around the park which brought about many fond childhoods memories. Cotton candy, hot dogs and fries, painted horses that bobbed up and down to the sound of piped in music. The carousel used to be his favorite ride. He bought a ticket and felt like a kid once again. This event triggered a memory of when he was fifteen years old. The attendant helped a fourteen year old girl up on the back of his painted horse as there were no other ones available. He remembered her putting her arms around his waist as they rode up and down. His very first girlfriend shortly after the ride was over. Harriet hadn't been to an amusement park in a very long time. The thirty five year old decided it was time to visit one once again. She found what she was looking for and strolled around the park which brought about many childhoods memories. Cotton candy, hot dogs and fries, painted horses that bobbed up and down to the sound of piped in music. The carousel used to be her favorite ride. There was no more room, so she decided to sit on the back of a painted horse with someone else already there. They introduced themselves to each other as both remembered who the other one was from so many years ago. She put her arms around his waist as a long lost smile was born again. One year later the bride and groom posed for a picture to be on the cover of their wedding album. She had her arms around his waist on a carousel with painted horses.....Maybe we haven't been to a certain place for a very long time. A visit to go back is decided by two people where it turned out to be where it was supposed to happen. Case in point in a short love story about Henry and Harriet, along with a ride on painted horses.....
