POETRY IN MOTION - DOWNTOWN PERRY, NY - LAST WEEKEND IN APRIL 2008

APRIL IS POETRY MONTH!
The April meeting of WW will coincide with "Poetry in Motion", a local event where writers are invited to hang their poetry, or that of other published writers they admire, on the windows of local businesses on Main St. in Perry, NY from Fri-Sun. The 8 1/2 x 11 inch pieces of paper hang loosely so that they "move", flapping around sometimes violently, speaking their words to the wind, or whomever... with their eyes... will listen.
For more info, email event coordinator, local artist Michael Sparling (a.k.a. Mr. Scribbles) at: [email protected]    His web site is  also: www.mrscribbles.com     He will provide the special tape, so that the pieces of paper are easily removed end of the day on Sun.
This local event is headquartered at the Arts Council for Wyoming County, Main St., Perry, where there will be posted a list of local participating businesses who will allow posting of poetry on their windows for the weekend. For more info on this event, you can check out the web site of the ACWC at: www.artswyco.org
Before or after our writers' group meeting on Sat., feel free to walk around Perry's downtown and read / post poetry.
