Alexa's Story (3/13/24)

Here are some thoughts on Alexa's story from this week
"I don't believe in holding grudges"
- loved this opening line as it set a great tone for a story that would challenge that idea and show whether it holds up or whether you were changed (which you were!)
- loved the way you introduced your dad's character and his own way, before and after remarraige.  his wisdom and tolerance philosophy, contrasting with his wife's behavior and her lifestyle
- really liked how you kept yourself IN the story and not just talking about them and their situation.  that makes it interesting to us becuase its personal to you
- really liked the turn where, as your father fell ill, amid the abuse he was sufffering, how you worked to protect him, but with the undercurrent of "tolerance and forgiveness" at the core.
- really liked the ending.  not forgiving them.
- in the end its a great tribute to your father's character and a character trait you learned from him that maybe you didnt realize until you had to experience/defend it?

any other thoughts anyone wants to share?
