Concealed Tears

Concealed Tears

A Poem by *thedayshedied*

I know those tears roll down your cheeks,

For reasons I know none of,

You think you have concealed it,

But your face is like a book,

Though what is written is foreign to me.

I can see you in your fetal ball,

Knees clenched tight to your chest,

Shivering with the pain that threatens to burst within in you,

and the constant fear

your stability will let you fall.

you thrive off what codependance will feed you,

yet push it further away,

when deep inside

that unbreakable bond,

Is all you have ever sought.

I can hear your silent pleas for savior,

words empty as your heart lay bare,

searching for reason

of which none is found.

you only grow more fragile.

I have watched you crash and burn

hiding your suffering behind your emotional flame,

but from this breakdown you will learn,

I will love you forever...
