False Pretences and Loss

False Pretences and Loss

A Poem by sivan

Stock exchange of this heart,

The markets fell

And you

Were a part of it all.

Calculated methodically

Balanced equations,

Frantically forced reactions

Catalyzed conveniently by the victim-

Me.

Sent out in rough seas on an empty tip

And now the captain must sink with the ship.

. ah, this by far is the most innovative deployment of the "stock exchange" message ... and it's effective ... making this piece powerful ... and the last two lines ... add a surprise image ... the use of the word "must" is high impact ... all of it is brilliantly expressed ...

Beauty definitely has a hold on these words you so elegantly pen. I am forced to take a second look as your spell weaves over my eyes and promotes another close read.
