THE SILENT KILLER

THE SILENT KILLER

A Poem by Alan Torres

They say time flies by... I do not see it that way.
I see it as humans are too spoiled and stupid to realize the speed of time.
We get caught up with how much is left that we lose track.
Then it comes.
And it hurts.
Time kills feelings. Time kills dreams and hopes.
Time separates families and friends.
And we can not do anything about it, but cry.
And that's okay. God laughs when you cry.
Because he knows how little a life time last compared to eternity.
Yes heaven is as real as the beast of your heart.

You will never be ready for the arrival of time
He is the silent killer. The patient murderer.
And you know what? That is its role.
That's life and yes it is not fair. It hurts and mocks.
But life was not meant to be fair and sweet.
Life's purpose is not to be fulfilled here in earth.  Earth is boot camp.
And it will challenge you even if you don't want to.
You're welcome.
Pain hurts but it will pass. Love heals but it will pass. Life is bitter sweet but it will pass.
So get in your knees and thank God for time.
Ask him to please make you more aware of it.
Because time comes. Ready or not.
