You Left Me in the Summer

You Left Me in the Summer

A Poem by 1000sleeps
"

my first attempt at traditional poetry, in this case a pantoum

"
You left me in the summer,
empty and alone.
Now I miss you more than ever,
and it kills me to the bone.

Empty and alone,
I find solace in being invisible.
It chills me to the bone,
that I'm not sure this life is livable.

I find solace in being on my own,
but they still plead with me to talk.
I'm unsure if this is no longer home,
but I feel my heart is being mocked.

They plead with me to talk,
they want me to cheer up.
But I feel I'm being mocked
I need this all to stop!

I can't pick myself up,
I miss you more than ever.
I need this all to stop,
you left me in the summer.
