Broken

just about being broken.

Her hair, dress and face

A mess, a haze, she’s dazed

Her cries, his lies, no one realized

She loved too much and paid the price

Her broken heart, soul and smile

All seem fine but nothing’s right

Her words, his actions, their predictions

All was wrong for forever wasn’t his decision

Her tears, her fears, her scars

He left her with nothing but a broken heart

Her bright eyes and stare, he didn’t dare

To wipe the tears that gave her scare

Her blindness, she believed, she trusted

But got burned in the end instead

Her love, his hate, along with distaste

The fall she took in haste

Her pain, her gain, in the end

A broken heart she couldn’t mend

She loved, he pretended, for he never cared

The pain too much but she still bear

Their ending, her last breath, his cruel laugh

She wanted to die but it will never be enough
