CELIBACY - An Acrostic Poem

CELIBACY - An Acrostic Poem

A Poem by Starr

CELIBACY

Controlling every stimulating urge to

Enact upon my innate desire to lust after the flesh

Living faithfully in sexual abstinence by

Incorporating prayer daily to strengthen my spiritual intercessory

Being firm-minded around persuasive visual temptation

Abstaining from all erogenous gratification by being

Chaste and courageous in mind, body and soul as I encounter wiles

Yet virtuous by example in being pleasant in spirit and demeanor

I do not say this often but.... wow, you really are a poet. This piece flowed like butter each line captivating and education. Scribe on.

One,

I haven't seen one of these poems in awhile I forgot what they're called but I used to enjoy doing them in school. Celibacy not something I really practice, on purpose at least. But if that's what you're into great for you.
