Common-law

Common-law

A Poem by Royal Martinez
"

All about her, the one who choose the wrong guy

"

Sweaty b*****d

So heartless

Devoid of emotion,

Still plumb the depths of his ocean

    Supposedly

Within him lies,

The gate to your franchise

What it feels like to see you cry

        Metaphysically abused,

Extremely gang-inked

Thoughts of what the quadriplegic thinks

Maybe,

What a heart doesn't know

Is for which it won't grieve

Comes down to what the eyes will deceive a mind to believe

    Memories which will never leave

Sun 'gainst a blue backdrop

Car with no rooftop

Short pants and long sleeves

Bees with no honey

Janes and Johns without money

Homeless on the street

Homeless, on the streets more

Careless with any toy

On the news,

A single mother says,

"Yeah he was,

  Such a good boy"

    Sweaty b*****d, so heartless

Devoid of emotion,

Still you plumb the depths of his ocean.

Supposedly,

Within him, it lies

The gate to your franchise

How it feels now,

To see you cry
