Forked-tongue and winged
stalkers' endless chasing
nights of my night-walking
from twisted distorted faces

hissing, hissing

Fear frozen-stiff in my tracks
useless attempts at running
terrors that steal my voice
in restless sleep taken
shrieking, shrieking

Jostled and tossed around
nightmares' chaotic demons
upheaved strongest of evils
long, deep, and breathing
howling, howling

Doomed-sleep hinges hold
screams lucid and chilling
signal death's finishing blow
flamed torches band a coventry
huffing, huffing

Hooded and barbed underworld
darkened highlands and backwoods
thousands follow close and constant
stalking and stepping heavy
plodding, plodding

Fear enteres into my light of day
even shadows now become ghosts
Through underbrush and thickets
sounds pop like dry wood burning
crackle, crackle

Jesters sent from the counting room
tracking fright more than scent
pulling me to be friends with death
the clock's endless hands move
ticking, ticking

Bud
Kinda sounds like a nightmarish account of a covenant ritual. Chilling!!!

I like it. It's different. Keep up the great work!
