You know the stars, they dance.

You know the stars, they dance.

A Story by Olivia Danielle

You know the stars, they dance.

You said to me one day. My hair tangled between your fingers as we rested at an uncomfortable angle.

I told you you were crazy, but in a playful way. I would never say something to you that’s that upsetting.

You merely laughed.

Look up at the stars. Look how their tips are holding hands as they glide across the night sky. Don’t they look happy?

I kissed your cheek, confused, yet amused by your point of view. To me, they were just stars. Gaseous twinkling lights.

I treasured these moments with you.

Now I understand what you meant about the stars. How they danced across the sky. When you joined the stars, I saw you dancing.

I watch you dance, I watch your energy reverberate through the night. You’re the brightest star there ever was, and ever will be.
