Peggy Porrit

Peggy Porrit

A Poem by Ron
"

Crime and punishment.

"

Peggy loved Cyril divotedly.

His needs were tended urgently.

The moment Cyril didn't care;

She killed him off immediately.

He'd revelled deep in her devotion.

Enjoyed her frenzied, frantic, motion.

He could not have wondered why,

She served him up the deadly potion.

Judge Clement sat to try her.

The charge of fearful murder.

Twelve men and true, did convict.

Not murder! But, manslaughter!

Peggy's free!  In love at last.

Flits again from task to task.

Herbert loves her at the present.

But Peggys kept her poison flask.

Ron
I think Peggy has invested in a new shovel this time too.

P.P. is fun macabre for sure... Peggy can join the ranks of
Lucretia, the Black widow murderers or the aunties in
Arsenic & Old Lace any ole time ... Bravo!
