Dream Shadows.

Come back to me once again
On the merest glimpse of evening’s aspirations
When the darkness carries all of my sublimely painted essences of you,
And untangle me once more
From life’s moonlit path of silver complications
Leaving midnight’s brush to paint the night’s complexion
As each shadow glows with such a different hue.


Hear me whispering your name
As the moments wander quietly around me
Giving subtly worded promises with all the grace and elegance of shade,
Then release my heart again
From love’s constant fear of loss and deprivation
Before the stars drip sealing wax upon my parchment
And my heart creates the seal so softly made.


Take me strolling through your dreams
With the magic of intense anticipation
As the star light colours shadows tied together like the rainbows of the night,
Then we’ll pause before the dawn
And we’ll witness where we felt our first creation
Then as the evening sleeps once more in satisfaction
We can wander forward to the morning’s light…
