Oh how love calls the tune

Oh how love calls the tune

A Poem by Keith.

It is Summer, and yet Winter’s chill still remains
A cloak of deep darkness is wrapped round my heart
And sometimes in my moments, my spirit complains
About why things have changed from how they were at the start,
I so much feel the love that I have since we met
And I have much to be thankful for all we have meant
Yet in you it seems that the sun’s starting to set
And the flowers of Summer are losing their scent.

My heart is a crystalline teardrop inside
When I think of before, and compare it with now
Even though I still love you, my pain tries to hide
Every reason I see of the where and the how,
In my eyes you’re so precious, and I feel so rough
That I can understand you in feeling this way
A Princess to a pauper is seldom enough
For when warm days are gone, there is Winter to pay.

Yet for all we have shared I am grateful indeed
For to have for a while has been better than not
As I have shared a flower instead of a weed
And the Prayer that I share is the love I have got,
I beg you to forgive me for not being enough
You have now and have always the love I give you
Through the times that are lovely and those that are rough
And although you feel different, I’ll always be true….
