My Today and Yesterday.

My Today and Yesterday.

A Poem by 54NDR4 4DJ31
"

Each day follows a particular routine, a tedious one at that, I'm sure. Yet each and every day brings something unique...though, not always positive. Experience my yesterday and today.

"

Yesterday, I woke, six sharp in the morn.

Today I slept forty-five minutes after the alarm.

Yesterday, showered for a good thirty minutes.

Today, I rushed in the bathroom and slipped in the tub.

Yesterday, my uniform greeted me well.

Today, it didn’t.

Yesterday, I missed no buses; in fact I got the bus two buses before my ‘early’ bus.

Today, I missed my early bus, and waited in the rain for another.

Yesterday, first lesson was English.

Today, first lesson is Science.

Yesterday, my teacher was absent; barley did any work, just doodled across my work-sheet.

Today, my teacher was in, she gave little to no time for me to copy work from the board.

Yesterday, I ate a homemade meat-pie for break.

Today, I nibbled on a few bars of biscuits.

Yesterday, I tried to care about the lessons that I had.

Today, I ended up giving up, and sat spaced out in Spanish, but my teacher didn’t care.

Yesterday, I hated the lunch: uncooked thick chips, with fish (I choked on a bone).

Today, I hated the lunch meal just as much: pasta with a sour red sauce (“liquid diabetes” as it’s called).

Yesterday, I had art club to end my day.

Today, I had an awkward work shop with visitors from a theatre.

Yesterday, I had to cook when I got home; plantain with some eggs.

Today, I called my mum in her meeting and asked her if I could eat the Chinese she’d bought yesterday.

Yesterday, I had no homework.

Today, I did.

Yesterday, I slept before doing my homework.

Today, I also napped before doing my homework.

Yesterday, my mum came home late because of work.

Today she came home early.

Yesterday I…

Well…

Uhm…

Today, I’m writing this.

Tomorrow I’ll probably have a similar sequence,

despite occurrences being differed.
