To a cold lonely bed

To a cold lonely bed

A Poem by 5minutesofcrazy
"

A poem about losing someone special. Not through death, but allowing them to slip away

"

I miss your touch

On my face, and in my hair

Occasionally I can almost feel it

Just to be reminded that your gone

Your words haunt me

Echoing through my brain

Tickling the hair of my ears

While knowing you won’t return

Our nights are now torture

They refuse to let me sleep

Always replaying our act of oneness

To a cold lonely bed

Your kisses burns me

Or that they would have

Etching your passion in my brian

Reminding me of the negative white space

I miss your smell

On my pillow, and on the chair

Often I think I can still smell you

Hoping it means you didn’t leave

I wish these weren’t the words I felt

I want to never write for you again

I desire to remove you from my life

I hope I see you again

That. last. stanza.
Really lingers long on the reader's mind.. and it stings.

this is really heart-wrenching. it's everything we want to say to the person but could not articulate. i really liked it.

loved...Reminding me of the negative white space, and that last stanza was superb ...in all its ambiguity. Thanks.
