The lonely tree

The lonely tree

A Poem by Kat-Marie Berti

What to say when death has passed

What to do when love has gone

Sit alone in sunny and gloomy days

With no distractions at my fingertips

The trees that sway upon empty hills

The flowers that bloom then die too soon

Leave my tattered heart filled with pain

At the sudden memories of the day I lost you

A lonely tree is what I have become

The breeze a sad reminder of lost times

As years go by, I slowly wilt inside

Without you here, without you by my side

There was a sad whimsical feel to this piece as I read.
I'm not sure if you intended it that way, but the is an unexplainable magical-like sorrow in it.
At least for myself.
Very beautiful.
