Longing Heart

Longing Heart

A Poem by Alexander Emberson
"

I don't like saying goodnight and walking home.

"

It’s always hard to take that walk

To make myself leave and part

From the gaze I’ve grown to love

I know that I will however find

You waiting for me with a fresh new start

Because I took that first step

The cruel longing that crushes my insides

The cold sweat each and every night

This is just the ailment of a longing heart in love
